Akshay Kumar brings good news for 'Hera Pheri' fans
Akshay Kumar recently brought good news for Hera Pheri fans, assuring them that “everything will go well” following Paresh Rawal’s unexpected withdrawal from the franchise.
The Indian actor, who garnered recognition for his portrayal of Raju in the comedy film, finally broke his silence on the ongoing speculation.
In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, the 57-year-old star spoke about the development of the upcoming sequel.
He said, “Whatever is happening is happening in front of you. Keeping my fingers crossed. I hope everything goes well. Everything will go well only. I know, for sure.”
This comes on the heels of Rawal referring to his character in the Hera Pheri franchise as a “noose around the neck”.
It is pertinent to mention that Rawal’s unexpected withdrawal has fueled speculation about tensions between the Sooryavanshi actor and the 70-year-old veteran.
Despite the ongoing rift, the duo has completed filming Priyadarshan’s horror-comedy Bhoot Bangla.
Meanwhile, the Kesari Chapter 2 star, who recently played Julius in Housefull 5, is also gearing up for the Telugu mythological saga Kannappa.
Mukesh Kumar Singh’s directorial is slated for release on June 27, 2025, marking the Bollywood actor’s debut in the Telugu film industry.
