Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, has tragically passed away at the age of 53 after suffering from a massive heart attack.
The prominent Indian businessman, who was spotted playing polo in the UK at the time, died on Thursday, June 12.
Suhel Seth confirmed the tragic news on Friday, June 13, in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
He penned, “Deeply saddened at the passing of @sunjaykapur: he passed away earlier today in England: a terrible loss and deepest condolences to his family and to his colleagues @sonacomstar… Om Shanti.”
This heartbreaking update comes shortly after the Hum Sath Sath Hain star’s former husband offered condolences to families affected by the Ahmedabad plane crash.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, he wrote, “Terrible news of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected. May they find strength in this difficult hour.”
Sunjay and the Dil To Pagal Hai actress parted ways in 2016 after 13 years of marriage.
The former couple shared two children – daughter Sumaira and son Kiaan.
For the unversed, Sunjay later married Priya Sachdev in 2017 after five years of dating.
