Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shown a deep concern for their children’s privacy and wellbeing, especially when it came to public appearances.
However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are parents to Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, appear to be going against their mantra of “not serving her kids on a platter”.
According to royal photographer, Arthur Edwards, Prince William and Prince Harry “absolutely hated” having their pictures taken when they were young. They felt under pressure and it was something that they did not want for their kids.
Now, Meghan and Harry have made it a point that they are not showing Archie and Lilibet’s face to the public especially when they shared on social media.
Although, The Sun royal editor, Matt Wilkinson pointed out that Meghan is now putting her children on social media in promotion for As Ever and her brands, which suggests that she is going against her initial decision if there is money involved.
“Will we ever see their faces? I don’t know, maybe one day she'll produce a calendar or something of her children's faces and that'll be sort of another Meghan special,” Arthur quipped.
He added that there is “some sort of scheme there where she might want some money ties on one day”.
Meanwhile, royal journalist Bronte Coy shared that it’s “jarring” that the children only appear when there is something “commercial” taking place.
“People do respect the decision that they’ve kept the kids out of the public eye but it's when they show up commercially,” she said adding that “of course it’s Meghan’s decision.
She went on to say that it seems “very jarring when you compare it to what a big deal they made about it back then and now because there is money involved.”
The update comes after sources revealed that Meghan is looking into expanding As Ever to restaurants and hotels.
