Prince William is shifting the focus on a pressing issue as the future king discussed the deep concern for the future.
The Prince of Wales, who is shaping his legacy around causes dedicated to protecting the natural environment held a meeting with an important and beloved figure at Kensington Palace.
William, who has made no secret of his admiration for naturalist Sir David Attenborough, collaborated on an upcoming documentary Ocean, in which they discuss the sea and the damage done to it ahead of World Oceans Day – observed globally on June 8.
“A true honour speaking with Sir David ahead of World Oceans Day tomorrow,” the message read.
“Fascinating to reflect on the wonder of the ocean and the legacy of a man who has dedicated his life to telling its story,” it continued.
“A conversation shared about a lifetime of exploration, the urgent challenges facing our seas, and the hope that lies in restoring and protecting them for generations to come.”
The statement concluded emphasising on the urgency of the issue.
“Sir David’s latest documentary ‘Ocean with David Attenborough’ is such an important documentary, and a rallying cry for one of our planet’s most precious resources.”
As since his promotion to the Prince of Wales, William has amped up his efforts to advocate for conserving the natural environment. Many royal sources have claimed that the future king is already working on the legacy he wants to leave behind in his significant role in the monarchy.
King Charles has also been known as a life-long environmentalist as he has been speaking about climate change and other issues concerning the planet since he was a young man.
William has been following in his footsteps while taking his efforts even further in the key mission.
