King Charles braves rain to delight royal fans in latest public appearance
King Charles received praise from his well-wishers after his special efforts during his latest public appearance.
The monarch recently visited the SouthWest London (SXSW London) festival to celebrate culture, technology and creativity in Shoreditch, East London.
According to the Palace, the festival "aims to serve as a platform to showcase the future of the creative industries, supporting emerging artists and innovative projects."
Before departing, the King stopped by Old Spitalfields Market where he met locals and spoke to stallholders working the market’s 'Antiques Thursday' during rain.
The monarch held his own umbrella and kept on greeting the people around him, leaving the royal fans to admire his move.
One fan wrote on social media, "Was the King seriously standing in a puddle of rain to shake hands? Class act!"
Another one penned, "Oh Lord! I noticed just now! Wow - appreciated the sacrifice."
"Love the way that huge puddle didn’t bother him," a well-wisher of the King said.
It is important to note that King Charles has been showing determination despite being on medical treatment for his undisclosed form of cancer.
