King Charles to honour David Beckham after closing Palace doors on Harry
David Beckham's special dream will come true as King Charles set to give notable title
David Beckham received good news amid growing tensions within his family.
It has been said that the former English captain's years-long wish will be fulfilled as King Charles is set to honour him with the notable title.
According to The Sun, David will receive a knighthood in the King's Birthday Honours list next week. He will be known as Sir David, whereas his wife, the famous fashion designer, Victoria Beckham, will be called Lady Beckham.
The sports personality has been eying on the title for quite some time but every year, he missed being on the list.
Notably, David received an OBE (Order of the British Empire) in 2003.
It is important to note that Beckhams have been making their ties with the royal family stronger since their fallout with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Similarly, the senior royals, including King Charles, Prince William and Princess Kate have been showing sympathies to the power couple, especially during the family feud.
In 2024, David was announced as the ambassador of The King’s Foundation in 2024. Speaking of his role, the Philanthropist said at the time, "I’m excited to be working with The King’s Foundation and to have the opportunity to help raise awareness of the charity’s work."
In recent times, David and his wife Victoria made it to the guest lists of key royal events.
It is important to note that the update related to David Beckham's knighthood came after several reports claimed that there are no chances of reconciliation between Harry and the royals especially after the surname change controversy.
