Lara Dutta's father L.K. Dutta dies at 84
Lara Dutta’s father, L.K. Dutta, has passed away at the age of 84 in Mumbai.
The Bell Bottom actress, who is the elder daughter of the retired Wing Commander and Jennifer Dutta, was seen attending her father’s final rites with husband Mahesh Bhupathi.
L.K Dutta, a retired Air Force Officer Wing Commander, bravely served in the 1965, 1969, and 1971 wars, showcasing unwavering dedication to his country.
However, his flying career came to an end after he suffered a heart attack.
Notably, he had the honour of serving as the personal pilot to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Lara, 47, revealed this while discussing her role as Indira Gandhi in Ranjit Tiwari’s 2021 action thriller.
In a previous appearance on the YouTube show Tellis Like It Is, the Don 2 star spoke about her deep bond with her father.
On the professional front, Lara is currently gearing up for her much-awaited film Welcome to the Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan and starring alongside Akshay Kumar.
For the unversed, the family of the departed soul has not yet issued a public statement regarding the loss.
