'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' director addresses possibility of new entry
Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na is one of Imran Khan’s cult classic films of his career.
The romantic comedy movie of 2008 starred hi alongside the gorgeous Genelia D’Souza.
It has been a long time since its release and fans still hope to hear the news of its sequel.
Khan, in a recent chat with director Abbas Tyrewala at Aamir Khan’s YouTube channel, spoke about the fan demand for a second instalment.
The Delhi Belly star revealed that he still receives messages from fans asking for another movie.
Meanwhile, Abbas also shared that his DMs are filled with demands.
However, the 3 idiots actor who produced the Imran starrer, has dashed down the idea of a sequel.
The director opened that when he gave a rough idea for a new entry, “Aamir told me, ‘Never refer to this movie again." The 60-year-old clearly said, “I don’t want to hear anything about the sequel if that’s the direction you’re going in.’”
Abbas also believes that sequels doesn’t work well. “I don’t know how to reboot fairytales. I haven’t seen them working well.”
The evergreen rom com follows the story of two friends Jai and Aditi, who doesn’t realize that they love each other until they start dating other people.
