Suniel Shetty reflects on much-awaited sequel of 'Hera Pheri'
Suniel Shetty recently made a surprising revelation about his much-awaited project Hera Pheri 3 during the trailer launch event of his upcoming film Kesari Veer.
The Phir Hera Pheri actor, who garnered recognition for his role as Shyam in the 2006 cult comedy, spoke about the third sequel to the Hera Pheri franchise.
At the event, the 63-year-old star reflected on his experience working with Akshay Kumar and shared thoughts on the film’s legacy.
Speaking exclusively, he said, “Hera Pheri. This is a patriotic film. It keeps the country happy. The problem with today’s youth is that they are not mentally happy. Hera Pheri is for you all so that you stay mentally happy.”
Shetty continued, “Everything in our country is extraordinary. We make people laugh, feed them, and even in poverty, we laugh and make others laugh. And if you get a partner like Babu bhai, don’t even ask.”
The Hera Pheri series, starring Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh Rawal, has remained criticially acclaimed and continues to be cherished in Indian cinema.
With the return of the iconic characters Raju, Shyam, and Babu Bhaiya, fans are eagerly waiting for the next chapter.
It is pertinent to mention that director Priyadarshan has confirmed that filming for Hera Pheri 3 will begin in 2026.
Kesari Veer, featuring Shetty, along with Sooraj Pancholi, Vivek Oberoi, and Akansha Sharma, is all set to release on May 16.
