Ranbir Kapoor’s candid confession about his beloved wife, Alia Bhatt, has once again resurfaced online.
The Animal actor had previously praised the Darlings star in a 2020 interview with Rajeev Masand.
During the conversation, Ranbir admitted that he often felt like an “underachiever” compared to his then-girlfriend, Alia.
Speaking exclusively, he said, “My girlfriend Alia is a bit of an overachiever, and she probably took every class there is - from guitar to screenwriting. I always feel like an underachiever next to her.”
The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor further shared that he hadn’t taken any classes at the time due to personal reasons, and instead spent most of his time reading, being with family, and watching two-three films a day.
On the professional front, Ranbir, 42, is currently juggling multiple projects, including Ramayana and its sequel, Ramayana 2, with Dhoom 4 also added to his upcoming lineup.
Alia, 32, on the other hand, is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, Alpha, which is expected to hit cinemas on Christmas 2025.
The Brahmastra duo, who share a two-year old daughter named Raha, tied the knot on April 14, 2022, after five years of dating.
For the unversed, after starring together in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, the couple is set to reunite on-screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War.
The highly anticipated project is expected to release on Eid 2026.
