Prince Harry criticised for inconsistencies in security demands amid UK visits
The Duke of Sussex continues to seek reinstatement of his automatic police protection in the UK
Prince Harry faces criticism for his ongoing legal battle over UK security arrangements, despite frequently staying in hotels without police protection during his visits.
Royal commentators question the consistency of his concerns. During a recent Court of Appeal session, Harry expressed frustration over perceived preferential treatment of other VIPs, stating his 'worst fears' has been confirmed and that 'people would be shocked by what's being held back.'
On The Sun's Royal Exclusive show, TalkTV's royal editor Sarah Hewson remarked, 'He is not going to let this one go, regardless of what the outcome of this is.'
Matt Wilkinson added, 'is he just going a bit over the top here? I mean, why is he obsessed with the security?'
Hewson further questioned,' How can you go to Ukraine and suggest that you are not safe to bring your family back to Britain or visit Britain?'
She noted that during trips to Colombia and Nigeria, Harry's team reported receiving 'far greater security' than in the UK.
The Duke of Sussex continues to seek reinstatement of his automatic police protection in the UK, arguing that the current case-by-case approach is inadequate for his family's safety.
