The 83-year-old veteran filmmaker, father of director Ayan Mukerji, tragically passed away on the morning of Friday, March 14.
The Do Patti actress took to her Instagram to mourn his unexpected death on March 15, as she posted a heartwarming photo, reflecting their close bond.
Meanwhile, she wrote in the caption, “Tradition said that every Durga Puja we would click pictures together. When we were all dressed up and looking good. I’m still adjusting to the thought of a world without him.
“To one of the finest men that I’ve ever known. Rest in peace. You will be loved, remembered and missed every day of my life.”
Fans rushed to console the actress, sharing their heartwarming responses in the comments section.
