Shah Rukh Khan to work on 'Pathaan 2' after daughter Suhana Khan’s debut film ‘King’

King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan will be returning to Yash Raj’s spy universe as soon as he completes Suhana Khan’s debut project, King.

Reportedly, SRK’s 2023 action packed film Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, will be getting a sequel.

As per the sources, producer Aditya Chopra is busy working on the script of Pathaan 2 since mid-2023. The story will lay out groundwork for larger conflicts rather than carrying forward Pathaan’s story.

A report from Peeping Moon has revealed that, "It was due to the extensive planning and intricate storytelling that the scripting process took so long.”

“Aditya, along with Sridhar Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala, has crafted an exhilarating, high-stakes script that promises to surpass the first instalment in both scale and intensity”, reports suggested.

Meanwhile, Anand might not return as the director of the new movie. According to sources, the Ye Jawani Hai Deewai creator Ayan Mukerji is likely to helm the sequel.

Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer turned out to be the highest grossing film of Bollywood in 2023. It also featured a cameo appearance of Salman Khan.
