Its official: Mawra Hocane ties knot with Ameer Gilani

Pakistani actor Mawra Hocane surprised her fans on Wednesday by announcing that she had tied the knot with singer Ameer Gilani.

While the grapevine about their relationship has been doing the rounds for years, the two kept their relationship under tight wraps, always referring to each other as friends.

Having shared the screen in the dramas Neem (2023) and Sabaat (2020), their on-screen chemistry has long fueled speculation that they are more than friends.

Fans had been buzzing since Tuesday night when social media exploded with claims that their wedding was in the offing.

By Wednesday evening, Hocane made it official, sharing a stunning photo of the couple in wedding attire at Lahore Fort.

Hocane, who looked like a goddess in a sky-blue lehenga with a matching short blouse, seems on cloud nine in her wedding snaps. The elegant lehenga she wore had a vibrant border at the hem and was embroidered to perfection in mellow gold with subtle tinges of baby pink.

Gilani, on the other hand, donned a charcoal-colored shalwar kameez, complemented with a dark-hued button-up waistcoat and a smooth-textured woolen shawl, while slipping on contrasting tan Peshawari chappals.

Followers flooded their wedding post with love and well-wishes, with many of their elated celebrity besties chiming in to congratulate them and show their love for the couple. Among them were Hocane’s sister, Urwa, and her brother-in-law, Farhan Saeed, who led the congratulatory parade to celebrate the happy couple.
