The wedding festivities of Kubra Khan and Gohar Rasheed have officially begun, starting with a lively dholki hosted by their close friends, Momal Sheikh and her husband.
The intimate yet star-studded gathering set the stage for the couple’s much-awaited celebrations.
The couple, who had recently become the most talked-about celebrities, put an end to weeks of speculation surrounding their relationship after rumours of their upcoming wedding spread in late 2024.
They made it official just last month with a playful yet heartfelt way, and now the revels have finally begun. The fan-favourite bride and groom-to-be celebrated their union surrounded by some of their closest friends at Momal's residence possibly last night.
The "Raaz-e-Ulfat" actor shared the pictures from the colourful "dholak" on his official Instagram account.
"MASHAH ALLAH... Massive Love and hugs," he captioned the post, with a thanks for Momal and Nader Nawaz for "the warm beginning".
The adorable photos mainly featured Kubra and Gohar, dressed in traditional yet simple attire.
The "Sang-e-Mah" actor wore an ivory long dress, embellished with delicate multicoloured embroidery, with matching dupatta and plazo, while Gohar sported a dark green shalwar kameez with a shawl.
Besides Momal, her brother Shehzad Sheikh, his wife, actor and producer Abdullah Kadwani and actor Ali Rehman Khan were also spotted in the pictures.
The post garnered over 21 thousand likes and hundreds of comments, with fans and acting industry members wishing the couple happiness and good luck.
It may be noted that the speculations about the couple went rife first when Gohar actor revealed at colleague and friend Ushna Shah's show that he was "not single".
Later, the duo made their wedding official, sharing the exciting news in a lighthearted Instagram video that has taken the social media by storm.
Kubra and Gohar’s connection has always been evident, whether through their shared photos or their warm friendship, which fans had noticed and admired for a long time.
The two have worked in a number of projects together as well, but were appeared as a couple in just one drama serial, "Jannat se Aagay".
While some had speculated about the nature of their relationship, many had been rooting for the talented duo to turn their close friendship into a lifelong partnership.
