Angelina Jolie finally decide to end Brad Pitt feud after 8 years for children
Angelina Jolie offers Brad Pitt a final peace offering as legal battle ends after eight long years
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have finally put their divorce settlement to rest following an eight-year long legal battle over division of assets.
While Jolie is still occupied with another lawsuit with her ex-husband, the Maria actress was compelled to conclude the arduous battle for the sake of their six children.
Jolie shares three biological children with Pitt – Shiloh, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, now 16 – and three adopted – Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19.
Following the 2016 private jet incident, in which Pitt allegedly got violent towards Jolie and his children in drink stupor, the children over the year began disassociating with their father.
Jolie filed her divorce soon after the incident, ending her marriage of two years. However, given the prolonged legal complications in their case, they were only declared legally single in 2019.
Shiloh, Zahara and Vivienne publicly dropped their father’s name amid the ongoing battle after which Jolie also faced accusation over turning her children against Pitt.
However, the Maleficent star seemingly slammed the speculation with a gesture of peace towards her ex-husband.
According to a source close to the actress, Jolie “doesn’t speak ill of [Pitt] publicly or privately.” The insider continued, “She’s been trying hard to be light after a dark time.”
In a statement released by Jolie’s lawyer, he stated that this was “just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago.”
He noted that Jolie “is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”
