Ridley Scott makes shocking confession about Margaret Qualley

Margaret Qualley is starring in the newly released The Dog Stars as Cima, while Ridley Scott served as the director.

In an interview with People Magazine, the filmmaker reflected on his working experience with the actress, saying that “Margaret’s a hoot,” he added, “She is hilarious,” Ridley remarked.

Adding, “She is, above all things, a character. She is a character.”

Further talking about the leading actress’ candid personality and how her directness made him comfortable, he said, “In a way, it’s very fresh.”

“She’s very open and will say what she thinks, which is also fresh. A lot of people don’t say what they think.”

The film’s director continued, “I say what I think.”

“And as soon as somebody says that to me, I’m immediately relaxed, so therefore you can have a good working relationship.”

The film’s story revolves around several characters, including Cima, her father, the character Hig, who is portrayed by Jacob Elordi, and Bangley by Josh Brolin.

However, the characters are isolated from the world and trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic landscape.

Highlighting the movie’s story, the acclaimed director further reflected, “In a funny kind of way, when you get these little isolated groups of people, like the Mennonites, Pops and Cima, and the two guys together in the middle of nowhere, all these are the people who are sort of survivors and those who probably are trying to settle for, ‘This is it. This is the way it’s gonna be. ”

Moreover, he went on to elaborate on Cima’s uncertain future, stating that “The future for her with a man who is a father is inevitably one day he will pass.”

“She will be on her own. Now, that will be on his mind, and it’ll be on her mind too.”

Ridley noted, “There’s the reality check of where you are, where you’re going, and what is just over that hill.”

It is pertinent to mention that the latest survival drama was released in cinemas on August 28.
