Preity Zinta breaks silence over romance rumours with Salman Khan

Kal Ho Naa Ho famed Indian actress, Preity Zinta, has recently responded to the romance rumours surrounding her and popular Bollywood actor, Salman Khan.

On December 27, the 49-year-old star paid a heartfelt tribute to her close pal on his 59th birthday.

The mother-of-two shared a throwback photo of herself posing with her longtime friend on Instagram and wrote, "Happy Burrday @BeingSalmanKhan. Just wanna say I love you the most. Rest will tell you when I speak to you and yes we need more photos otherwise I will keep posting the same old ones! Ting."

As Preity’s post gained popularity on social media, several of her fans began speculating whether she and the Dabangg star had ever dated each other.

One X user asked, "Did you two ever date?" to which the Veer-Zaara actress responded, "No not at all! He is family & my closest friend and my husband’s friend too just in case you were wondering Sorry! Couldn’t resist."

Another fan commented, "I believe Bollywood romances died with Yashji, is there any way we get to see a good Bollywood romance in today's time?"

Preity replied, "I was thinking the same. Hopefully, some good writing & some new ideas will emerge from someone whose heart is in the right place. I’m waiting just like you."
