Shah Rukh Khan's 'Swades' turns 20: Director Ashutosh Gowariker pays 'special' tribute to actor
Shah Rukh Khan has once again proven his spectacular skills as an actor as he garnered praise from Swades director Ashutosh Gowariker.
Reflecting on the film's success nearly two decades after its release, Gowariker expressed gratitude to Shah Rukh for bringing the character to life and realizing his vision on the big screen.
The filmmaker took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to thank the King actor for his heartiest contribution.
He wrote on the social media platform, “My heartfelt gratitude to Shah Rukh for embodying Mohan Bhargava with such honesty and bringing forth the message of the film with so much conviction.”
The director, who is known for his work in Lagaan, Jodhaa Akbar among other cinematic hits, described his love for the film.
He described Swades as a timeless gem, saying it was more than just a film that beautifully depicted the real meaning of homecoming and reconnecting with one’s roots.
In addition, Ashutosh didn't hesitate to extend his wishes to the entire cast and crew of the film, as well as to the audience that made it what it is today.
