Ananya Panday's dad Chunky Panday is detailing his early life crisis as he admitted to keeping his daughter away from his difficult time.
During an exclusive session on the We Are Yuvaa YouTube channel, the actor opened up about his struggling days in the film industry.
Citing the entry of new actors as a reason, Chunky revealed that his career suffered a major setback after starring in the 1993 film Aankhen with Govinda.
He told the outlet, "The only film I got after that was Teesra Kaun, which completely dried (work opportunities) up. So, I landed up going to Bangladesh and doing movies there. Luckily, those worked, and I kind of made that my home for four to five years."
He said that it was because of this reason that he decided to pack his bags and move to Bangladesh for better career opportunities.
Fortunately, the actor found his new home following his spectacular performance in Bengali films.
The 62-year-old said, "I kept my ego aside and said I need to survive. I didn't stop working, but I have been flat broke."
Refusing to take monetary support from his parents and keeping his financial struggles discreet, Chunky confessed to his daughter, "When your mum and I got married, I was in that low phase. I had just returned from Bangladesh and was trying to get work for myself. I never got into that thing of calling you or Mom to the set, and it just stayed that way."
The CTRL actress revealed in a recent interview with Raj Shamani that she didn't experience the benefits of her father's stardom during her childhood, as he was going through a struggling phase at the time.
