Vidya Balan pays a glowing tribute to Sridevi, hailing her as a "consummate actor" and a true legend.
During an exclusive interview with Filmgyan, the Kahaani actress expressed her deep admiration for Sridevi aside from Madhuri Dixit.
She said of the Mom actress, "I would have loved to watch Sridevi in action. I think she was the most consummate actor. There was nothing Sridevi couldn’t do. But now, that opportunity won’t come). But I would have loved to watch her, Shabana Azmi, Waheeda ji, Rekha ji."
This follows Janhvi Kapoor's heartfelt revelation about the special sisterly bond between her mother, Sridevi, and Rekha.
The Mili actress revealed to Filmfare that Rekha was her rock during her struggles in the industry, providing crucial support when she felt lost.
Referring to Rekha as her “Peddamma,” the 27-year-old told the outlet at the time, "Since mom isn't around now, I feel Peddamma's approval is important. Because artistically, both mom and she are similar. In a manner of speaking, after mom, I look to Peddamma for validation. What she thinks about me and my work means a lot to me."
On the professional front, Vidya Balan was recently seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, reprising her iconic role as Manjulika.
