James Van Der Beek’s wife shares supportive message amid husband’s cancer battle

James Van Der Beek has come out and confirmed he has been diagnosed with colorectal cancer.

The Dawson Creek alum’s wife, Kimberly Van Der Beek showed unwavering support for her husband in this difficult time. 

On November 3rd, Kimberly left a heartwarming comment under the actor's Instagram post.

"I love you baby," the 42-year-old gushingly wrote under her husband’s lengthy post about his current health situation. 

Before the 47-year-old went public with his diagnosis, Kimberly tagged him in an Instagram story about Northern cardinals.

The image described birds as 'romantic,' explaining that they remain with one partner, travel together, sing before nesting, and feed each other beak to beak during their courtship period.

"Hi baby," she wrote above the image. 

The sweet couple have been married for 14 years. 

They got married in August 2010 and share six children together. 

James took to Instagram to announce the shocking news in the caption of a video displaying pictures of him and his family. 

In the post, he shared, "I’m in a good place and feeling strong." 

"It’s been quite the initiation, and I’ll tell you more when I’m ready."
