Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma has unveiled the reason of rejecting the role in Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer, Tamasha.
Director Imtiaz Ali's first choice was Anushka to play the female lead in the movie not Deepika. But after, the Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi actress turned down the romantic-comedy film, he approached the Pathaan actress.
Back in 2016, while having a chat with ANI, the mother of two was asked if she had any feud with the Saawariya director which became the basis of her rejecting Tamasha.
Sharma clearly stated that the film mainly focused on the male protagonist which is why she didn’t feel like doing the flick.
In a statement, the Jab Tak Hai Jaan actress stated: "I have no doubt that if I did the film, I would be praised. Any actor in an Imtiaz Ali film will always be good for he is a good director and is very good with his actors.”
Deepika and Ranbir’s Tamasha released in 2015. The story revolved around a young boy, who had a passion for storytelling and drama. He meets a girl in Corsica during his solo trip and ends up developing deep connection with her.
