Diljit Dosanjh sets new record as O2’s highest-selling South Asian artist
'The O2' arena honours Diljit Dosanjh with special award
Globally acclaimed singer, Diljit Dosanjh has just unlocked another achievement by delivering three sold-out shows at the London’s O2 arena.
The 'O2' arena, which has the capacity of 20, 000 people, were fully booked for Dosanjh's three shows during his 'Dil-Luminati Tour', promoted by 'Live Nation'.
In total, the popular Indian singer has sold 60,000 tickets at the famous concerts venue within two hours. This shows the growing influence of the South Asian music in the United Kingdom.
For this spectacular accomplishment, Diljit was even honoured with a special award by the venue.
Nidhish Varughese, global tour promoter at 'Live Nation' said: “Diljit Dosanjh continues to push the envelope on what it means to be a global artist, and this tour is truly history in the making.”

On the other hand, the senior programming manager at The O2, Marc Saunders also praised the Lover singer. He added: “The Dil-Luminati Tour not only showcases Diljit’s mesmerising charisma and epic stage production, but also stands as a shining example of the deserved success of international and culturally diverse artists.”
According to IQ, London’s O2 arena will close the year with the concerts of Paul MaCartney, Chris Stapleton, Charli XCX and others.
