Instagram rolls out major update on carousel posts
Zuckerberg-owned platform allows users to share aesthetic photos of their favourite moments
After recently introducing the option for users to add notes to their Instagram posts or reels, the platform has now updated its features allowing users to upload multiple photos in single grid post.
The Zuckerberg-led company made this most-awaited announcement on Friday, The Verge reported.
Earlier, users were allowed to add up to 10 photos in single carousel post also known as “photo dump,” however, this recent update allows users to add up to 20 photos in their single carousel post.
Alongside, this new version brings additional features to the carousel function, including the ability to pair songs with each photo.
Additionally, multiple users are allowed to add their content in a single carousel update as a collaborative post.
Following this update, the company mentioned the flexibility and exciting features the users are going to enjoy.
“Instagram started globally rolling out increased carousels—now you can add up to 20 pieces of content (photos and videos) to your feed carousels vs just 10. The update comes as people look for easier ways to express themselves on Instagram and share more fun content with their friends – just in time for end of summer “photo dumps,” said the company.
In this regard, users who love to share multiple and aesthetic photos of an event, trip, or simply a collection of their favourite moments.
