Celine Dion insists Angelina Jolie is perfect to tell her story
Will Angelina Jolie be okay to do Celine Dion's biopic?
Celine Dion is said to be keen on having Angelina Jolie portray her life story in a biopic, particularly her struggles with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS).
However, according to an insider who spoke to Life & Style, Angelina has already turned down the role.
Despite this, Celine remains convinced that Angelina is the perfect fit to play her. "They have discussed it many times over the years," the insider revealed.
They also noted, “Despite all the personal issues Céline has been dealing with, she still has this dream of telling the triumph-and-tragedy story of her relationship with her late husband René and her climb to stardom.”
According to the source, Celine Dion "has always envisioned Angelina as perfect for the role" of portraying her in a biopic.
The insider revealed that the Glass Shadow star's age won't be a hindrance in depicting her as a younger Celine, saying, "Angelina's age isn't an issue either – the idea has always been to de-age Angelina using CGI so she can offer a full portrait of Céline's journey."
“As Céline’s health issues have ramped up in recent times, there is more urgency than ever around making a real movie about her incredible journey and featuring her amazing music,” they remarked in conclusion about Celine, who has been battling the rare autoimmune disease called, stiff person syndrome (SPS).
