Ryan Reynolds weighs in on X-Men Origins: Wolverine over one foolish detail
Ryan Reynolds reflects on one detail which was a low for a movie
Ryan Reynolds has recently weighed in on X-Men Origins: Wolverine over “foolish” Deadpool detail.
In a new interview with Variety, the Green Lantern star opened up about the failure of X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
“It’s easy to say we got some things wrong,” said the actor.
Ryan previously played Deadpool in the Hugh Jackman’s X-Men spin-off movie that was criticized by superhero fans after its release in 2009.
Reflecting on one detail as being a low for the movie, Ryan told the outlet, “Deadpool sewing up his mouth was one of the all-time foolish studio notes.”
Ryan shared that while the movie did not work, he was “so grateful for it” as he got to work with Hugh.
“Hugh was a huge influence on me. It was the first time I saw how a movie star operates on set, and it defied all the preconceived notions for a movie star,” explained the IF actor.
Ryan added, “He was so warm and welcoming. He made it safe to play. He knew every single person’s name.”
Interestingly, Deadpool and Wolverine characters are introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who will be seen in a forthcoming movie.
Meanwhile, Deadpool & Wolverine will be released in theatres on July 26.
