Anne Hathaway described her third pregnancy as a "blessing."
Speaking to Access Hollywood at the New York City premiere of The Odyssey, the 43-year-old actress said she is grateful to be expecting her third baby with her husband, Adam Shulman.
“There’s always hope until there’s not, but when you get to a certain age, that hope looks like 1% to 2%,” said Anne. “So we just decided to see where life took us, with a very, very healthy, realistic expectation, which was very low."
“We’re overjoyed because we just know from personal experience that not everybody gets this, and certainly not when you want it—sometimes not ever," she added.
Anne further told the publication that it’s a “blessing” she and Adam “do not take for granted.”
For those unversed, Anne and Adam, who tied the knot in 2012, already have sons - Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6.
The Devil Wears Prada actress announced her pregnancy on June 19.
"Oh, my gosh. It's amazing. It's amazing," Anne said of her pregnancy during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
She further shared that she was "shocked" to find out she was pregnant again.
"I mean, we knew what we were doing, but we were so shocked it worked," added Anne. "We were so shocked it went this way, so we're calling this one our buzzer-beater."
