Kevin Costner forced to ‘move on’ from ‘painful’ divorce for kids’ sake

Kevin Costner laid bare personal struggles following divorce from wife of 18 years Christine Baumgartner last year.

During an appearance on CBS Mornings, the Yellowstone alum admitted to feeling “crushed” at the dissolution of over a decade-long marriage.

However, the actor noted he had “no choice” but to move forward for the sake of his children, who are “looking at [him]”.

“That’s a crushing moment,” Costner admitted. “It’s powerful and it hurt.”

The Field of Dreams star explained: “So, I can’t wilt like a daisy. I have to go forward, I have to continue to be who I am and keep a special eye on who they are.”

For the unversed, the actor shares three children Cayden Wyatt, 17, Hayes Logan, 15, and Grace Avery, 14, with his ex-wife.

After filing for divorce in May 2023, Baumgartner dragged Costner to court over demand of child support enough to sustain a lavish lifestyle, including going on private planes and luxe vacations.

The former couple ended up settling their divorce in September, which was then officially finalized in February this year.

Christine has since moved on with boyfriend Josh Connor, while Kevin is still on the look-out for happily ever after.
