Sarah Hyland recalls meeting Corbin Bleu at the set of ‘HSM 3’ 16 years ago
Sarah Hyland and Corbin Bleu recently took on leading roles in the ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ production
Sarah Hyland has known Corbin Bleu since his High School Musical days.
On Monday, June 10, Blue and Hyland – both proud theater kids – spoke to People Magazine at the 2024 Drama Desk Awards, where they reminisced over their first time meeting during their high school spring breaks.
The Modern Family alum shared that she had visited a friend who was part of the HSM cast on the set of the movie's third installment over 16 years ago.
“My theater kid [thing[ is just to be with other theater kids in Salt Lake City and like just sing songs. We would literally just sing songs for each other,” Hyland recalled.
“It was a ton of teenagers in the same hotel and running through the hallways,” added Bleu, who played Chad Danforth on the hit Disney Channel Original Movie between 2006 to 2008.
Seemingly having a flashback to the chaos that would then ensue, Hyland reassured that they “profusely apologised to the people who were staying there on their own time that were not a part of HSM 3.
Currently, the pair took on leading roles in the off-Broadway production of the Little Shop of Horrors revival. However, it was only after Bleu departed from his role of Seymour Krelborn on May 26 that Hyland joined as Krelborn’s love interest, Audrey.
