Despite the optics of the royal rift between the royals and Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle, new plans are underway for the future of the monarchy.
King Charles’ latest snub to Prince Harry over cancelled meeting earlier this month alluded that the rift is very much present between the father and son. However, it appears that the royals may be planning a future reconciliation with their latest moves.
PR expert Ryan McCormick told The Mirror that he wouldn’t be surprised if the royal family was in the process of modifying its “controversial” digital footprints relating to Harry and Meghan.
believes the Royal Family is "laying the groundwork" for a reunion after deleting a "controversial" statement made by Harry.
Royals deleted a 2016 statement by Prince Harry against the press hounding Meghan, who was his girlfriend at the time.
“I wouldn't be surprised if there are other statements and information that have been quietly deleted or modified over the years,” he told the outlet.
“The reason for doing their part in deleting these negative digital footnotes is to distance and diminish their impact on public perception. The Royals may also be laying the groundwork for a future, full reconciliation with Harry.”
He also noted that while some “controversial actions” of Harry and Meghan will “never be forgotten” but “making headlines for positive things (goodwill trips, charitable initiatives) will improve their likability.”
