Kylian Mbappe, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, has finally played his last game for the French club on Saturday in the team's final clash against Lyon which resulted in another trophy for the French forward.
Luis Enrique's side snatched their record-extending 15th Coupe de France trophy after crushing Lyon 2-1, thanks to a French domestic double including goals from Ousmane Dembele and Fabian Ruiz.
Mbappe, however, drew a blank on his final game for the club.
"You feel the weight of things a little more,” Mbappe told PSG Talk. "You realise that it's truly over. Before, when I said goodbye to the Parc, there were still things lingering. I was focused on what lay ahead. Now, with PSG, I have nothing left, but I am very happy to have been able to finish with another trophy."
After the win, his soon-to-be former teammates gave Mbappe a proper send-off by surrounding him and picking him up while celebrating the footballer.
For the past few months, Mbappe has been expected to move to Real Madrid after his contract with PSG expires next month, although the Spanish club has not officially announced the transfer.
He has not shied away form expressing his admiration for the La Liga club and its former legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
Mbappe has marked 308 games, 256 goals, six Ligue 1 titles and as many golden boots after arriving in Paris. Mbappe has fulfilled the promise he brought with him from Monaco.
