Texas State Highway is deadliest road in US as more than 120 people died on this road
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has shared data on the deadliest roads in the United States, The Kansas City Star reported.
According to the data, the most dangerous road in the country is the Texas State Highway, which connects Louisiana with Vidor. In the last six years, more than 120 people have died from commuting on that road.
The second-most fatal road is the James Island Motorway in Charleston, South Carolina. It is a 3000-mile-long motorway where scores of people die every year.
Furthermore, the Kansas City area has one of the most dangerous roads in the country.
Interstate 670, also known as the Jay B Dillingham Motorway, is a 2.8-mile motorway that connects Kansa with Missouri. It runs from the Kansas City Convention Centre, connecting it to the crossroads.
As per an analysis by Florida law firm Anidjar and Levine, I-670 has the third most traffic deaths per mile in the country.
From 2018 to 2023, at least 12 people have passed away.
On June 6, 2020, an SUV was hit by a motorcyclist and the accident left the biker dead on the spot. Another incident occurred on January 6, when a 69-year-old passed away after getting hit by a semi-truck that was stopped for traffic.
