Imran Khan opens up about co-parenting daughter with ex-wife Avantika
Imran Khan revealed that he is mostly taking care of daughter Imara without a nanny
Bollywood actor Imran Khan discussed his daughter Imara and the co-parenting arrangement he shares with his ex-wife Avantika.
During a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, the 41-year-old actor revealed that he is raising his daughter Imara without the assistance of a nanny.
The Mere Brother Ki Dulhan actor said, "I do all of the stuff for Imara without any nanny. I drive her to school myself in the morning. I pick her up. The limited amount of cooking that I can do, I do for her. I put her to bed."
He also emphasized that it was a deliberate choice on his part, as he didn't want to attempt acting in movies while he was feeling depressed.
Khan mentioned that he wanted his daughter to have memories and experiences during her childhood, knowing that her "dad was the one who would drive" her to school.
Mentioning that Imara is almost 10 years old, Imran shared that he splits custody with his former partner from Thursday to Sunday.
Imran said, "We divide the week. Everything is settled and sorted." The actor confirmed his legal divorce from Avantika, noting that the paperwork was completed a few years ago."
"He reportedly indicated a preference for keeping the details private," he added.
