Kareena Kapoor Khan reflected on the success of Crew, emphasizing how it demonstrated the ability of women to defy traditional box office norms.
During an interview with PTI, the 43-year-old actress, who portrayed the role of Jasmine Kohli in Crew, expressed her happiness over the film's success in breaking box office conventions.
The Jab We Met actress shared, "It's not about whether it's a hero or a heroine taking on a film. It's a person and (their) performance that takes the film and content (forward)."
"We are going to keep trying to do that. I will always choose roles that are interesting but in the form of entertainment. I'm happy Crew has broken barriers. It started the conversation that women also can break box office rules," she added.
Additionally, Kareena also noted that the film has surpassed the Rs 150 crore mark in business, highlighting that gender bias is no longer a significant factor in today's industry landscape.
The film, Crew, was released on March 29, 2024.
Meanwhile, Kareena is preparing for the release of her forthcoming film Singham Again, which is scheduled for release on August 15, 2024.
The film, directed by Rohit Shetty includes the star-studded cast, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, among others.
