Cristiano Ronaldo mocks Erik ten Hag?
Al-Nassr player called out by Manchester United fans
Fans of Manchester United believe that Cristiano Ronaldo made fun of Erik ten Hag when he posted on social media with the caption "happy days" soon after their defeat against Chelsea.
Ten Hag's team is still a few points out of fifth place, which might earn them a position in the Champions League for the following season, according to The Mirror.
There are rumours that Ten Hag will be removed in the dugout since he has failed to build on his successful rookie season.
One of the most important decisions made by the United manager was to bench Ronaldo, which ultimately resulted in the player's contract being terminated during a contentious interview. The forward posted on social media from Saudi Arabia, right before United lost.
The supporters of the team believe he is making fun of the man in the dugout because they think the timing is just too coincidental.
One fan said: "Timing GOAT." Another claimed: "We know why you posted this at this time". A third added: "Love the timing idolo, cook Ten Hag".
In their conversation, Ronaldo admitted to Piers Morgan that he didn't respect Ten Hag, which he believed to be the case. He said: “I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.”
The Al-Nassr forward also claimed: “Yes I felt betrayed and I felt like some people don’t want me here, not only this year but last year too.”
