Saudi Pro League: Cristiano Ronaldo wins major award
Al Nassr star also achieves hat-trick by taking his tally to 33 goals
Cristiano Ronaldo has received the Saudi Pro League Player of the Month award for March after his latest heroics.
Taking his tally to 33 goals in all competitions this league, the 39-year-old recently fired in a hat-trick in Al Nassr's 5-1 victory over Al Tai on Saturday, according to TalkSport.
Before he scored with a half-volley and a header to seal his treble, his first against Al Tai came in the 64th minute with a strike into the bottom corner.
The ex-Manchester United forward found the back of the net four times from three outings in the month of March.
Ronaldo has now managed to fire in a hat-trick in each of the last 15 calendar years as his latest dazzling display saw him succeed in three goals.
He is on 882 goals and counting in all competitions. Since he turned 30, he has received 34 of his trebles.
That is 28 more than Lionel Messi has achieved, with Luis Suarez and Karim Benzema registering five and Benzema mustering just three.
More than any other footballer in history, Ronaldo has now won 802 matches in his career.
