Babar Azam 'at doorsteps' of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) after Umrah
Ex-skipper pays visit to Prophet's Mosque in Madina, the second holiest site in Islam, during Ramadan
After performing Umrah, former Pakistan captain and cricket ace Babar Azam has now travelled to Madina to visit the Prophet’s Mosque to express veneration and devotion for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The sports star travelled to Saudi Arabia for the lesser pilgrimmage during the ongoing month of Ramadan after concluding his participation at the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9.
Taking to Instagram, Babar informed his fans about his visit to Madina by posting a video of himself performing ablution in front of the Green Dome, which is a significant part of the Prophet’s Mosque as it rests atop of beloved Prophet Muhammad’s grave.
The cricketer showed reverence towards the holy prophet in the post’s caption which read
“At the doorsteps of the beloved prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him - The Orphan who adopted the world.”
As Muslims across the globe cherish the Holy month of Ramadan, many throng to Makkah and Madina while performing Umrah to make the most of the blessed period.
Babar also had the honour to perform the lesser pilgrimmage as he posted a picture taken as he stood in front of the Holy Kaaba in Makkah.
It may be noted that several crickters including, Naseem Shah and Imamul Haq are also in Saudi Arabia to perform the lesser pilgrimmage.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Babar reposted Imam's picture standing in front of the Holy Kaaba wearing an ehraam — clothing to perform the pilgrimmage.
In the next story, Babar, his brother and Imam were seen in ehraams before they performed Umrah.
