United States President Joe Biden, during a fundraiser rally in Houston on Thursday, mocked Republican opponent Donald Trump, receiving laughter and applause from the crowd of about a 100 people, Daily Mail reported.

He said, "Remember the time when he told people to inject bleach. He must have done it himself."

He also noted that Trump "told us to hit the body with UV light, which I'm confident he does", referring to the comments Trump made in 2020.

The former president has become a centre of Biden's election campaign speeches to raise funds.

Biden, 81, attended three fundraisers in Texas and all of them centred around Trump.

During the Dallas fundraiser on Wednesday night, Biden mocked the former president for his "crushing debt".

He said, "Just the other day this defeated looking man came up to me and said: 'Mr President I need your help. I'm in crushing debt. I'm completely wiped out."'

Biden said he responded, "Donald, I'm sorry. I can't help you," prompting laughter from the crowd.

Trump, 77, is facing a plethora of cases, including a civil fraud case, which alleges that Trump, his sons and former aide Allen Weisselberg, overvalued their properties for years, deceiving banks and insurers to secure loans and bonds.

He needs to pay $464 million or else New York Attorney General Letitia James may start seizing his properties.

On Monday, his lawyers announced to court that securing a bond of $464m has proven to be "impossible".
