Cristiano Ronaldo's strike partner Anderson Talisca out from Al Nassr after thigh injury
Anderson Talisca's absence will be major loss for Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo's strike partner and Al Nassr forward, Anderson Talisca, suffered a thigh injury on Tuesday and will miss the remainder of the Saudi Arabian season.
The former player for Benfica and Besiktas was not present for his team's 1-0 loss to Al-Ain on the road in the first leg of their quarterfinal Asian Champions League match on Monday, according to Reuters.
For Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr, Talisca's absence will be a major loss as he has scored 25 goals in 25 appearances across all competitions this season.
"Injury is part of the sport, but my determination is even greater! The rehabilitation begins now, and I promise to come back stronger next season to contribute even more to Al Nassr's success," the 30-year-old Talisca said.
According to Talisca, he will complete his recuperation in Italy.
Nine points behind Al-Hilal in second place in the Saudi Pro League with 53 points after 22 games is Al-Nassr.
Anderson Talisca had formed a prominent partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo which came out to be crucial for Al Nassr's journey. As a consequence, his absence can have a bad effect on the team's upcoming bouts.
