There is no doubt in this fact that winters bring laziness alongside.

From chilli nights to sleepy mornings, people often find it difficult to regulate their workout routine. 

However, Dr Tenforde from Harvard Medical School emphasised that people should exercise more regularly during winter.

He explained, "In colder temperatures, your heart doesn't have to work as hard, you sweat less, and expend less energy, all of which means you can exercise more efficiently." 

Keeping in mind the importance of a winter workout routine, here are a few tips to keep yourself active this winter season. 

Exercise at home

Several fitness enthusiasts believe that if people find it hard to engage in any outdoor activity during cold weather, they should try to exercise at home. 

Workout with friends

It is also said that one may feel lazy while working out alone, however, having a partner or a friend during workout sessions will boost one's morale to stay fit and healthy.   

Complete home chores

If you are feeling low on energy and not being able to exercise even at home, then you should at least engage in some household chores. It will keep you physically active to some extent. 

Keep yourself hydrated

People often compromise on their water intake during the winter season. However, the medical experts stressed maintaining the same water intake as you drink during summer, which will also help to keep you energised.

Alongside water, one can also have fruit juices, hot herbal teas, or fulfilling broth-based soups. 

Eat healthy food 

Winter comes with so many vegetable options to include in your diet. From carrots to spinach, the cold season offers fresh and healthy meals.

It is true that during this season, people crave delicious food however, one should always avoid overeating, which will later hurt your stomach.
