Ghaziabad: Caffeine junkie Indian man chops off wife's head over late morning tea
Indian man allegedly hacked his wife with sword while she sat near stove
The suspect, identified as Dharamveer has been accused of using a sword to kill his 50-year-old wife Sundari in their Faljagadh village residence in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, which is close to the capital city of Delhi.
According to Indian media, the 52-year-old daily wage labourer reportedly beheaded his wife after stabbing her 15 times with a sword because she was taking too long to make his tea.
The head of the local police department stated that the husband asked where the brew was as soon as he got up, just minutes after his wife had started to prepare it.
Dharamveer allegedly hacked at his wife while she sat near the stove after becoming enraged and running to grab a weapon after being told it would take an additional ten minutes.
The Times of India was informed by Police Superintendent Vivek Yadav that Sundari got up at six in the morning and started making tea, just like she did every day.
"After around five minutes, Dharamveer asked for tea again and rushed to the makeshift kitchen on the terrace. He got angry when his wife told him it would take another 10 minutes for the tea to get ready and kicked the utensils away," Yadav said.
The officer claimed that after going to retrieve the sword, he came back and killed his wife with it.
Their mother was reportedly bleeding out when their kid, known as Soldier, heard her screams and hurried to the scene.
The kids reportedly ran to their room when Dharamveer attacked them while they were attempting to assist her.
The shouts alerted the villagers, who hurried to their house and saw Sundari dead in a pool of blood.
