Sofia Vergara and first husband Joe Gonzales' split reason revealed
Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello's marriage was lasted for only two years
Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have parted ways after seven years of being together and the couple's cause of separation is yet to come to light.
However, this isn't the first time that Vergara is going through a tough phase in a marriage.
Earlier, it was Joe Gonzalez, with whom the Columbian beauty tied the knot in 1991. She was eighteen at the time.
While they were childhood lovers, but the divide between them started to widen as Vergara pursued a career in acting and modeling, leading them to take the 'painful' decision of separation.
In 1993, the pair called it quits. But, divorce did not turn the once-passionate couple on to each other as the duo still enjoyed good relationship,
"We're still close friends," adding, "When José comes to the United States, he stays with me," the 51-year-old told Parade in 2011.
On the other hand, the businessman had tied the knot again and had two more children.
Gonzalez and Vergara share one son.
It is pertinent to mention here that the actor delivered major hits after her divorce, including the top-rated Modern Family sitcom.
