Rival groups bury the hatchet

LAKKI MARWAT: Four rival groups of Tajazai locality buried the hatchet and promised to live together with peace in future.

The groups were at loggerheads for the last couple of years and the enmities had claimed several s lives. “The enmity between four groups headed by Salim, Nasim, Amanullah and Abdul Manan was also a constant threat for the peace and tranquility of the locality,” said Hafiz Taus, a social and political activist, on Saturday.

He said that a local organisation realised the gravity of the situation as the blood feuds were badly affecting the law and order in the area. “The organisation’s president Hafiz Salahuddin and elders made efforts to bury the enmities and befriend the rival factions with each other,” he maintained.

Official visits hospital: The outpatient and emergency departments of the Government City Hospital was wearing a deserted look when additional assistant commissioner Muhammad Yaqoob Khan Barki paid surprise inspection visit to facility on Saturday.

The administration official was taken aback to see that only Dr Ibrahim Iqbal was present on duty to look after the entire health facility of the urban locality.

The remaining doctors had left the hospital reportedly for their private clinics before official closing time.
