Police recover 2 missing girls in Upper Dir

DIR: Police in Upper Dir recovered two missing girls in a timely operation and handed them over to their parents, officials said on Wednesday.

They said a report was lodged at the Wari Police Station by Umar Wali, a resident of Akhgram, saying that his daughters, Tamana Bibi, 7, and Maniza Bibi, 9, had gone missing from home and could not be found despite extensive efforts.

District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Muhammad Bilal took immediate notice of the incident

and formed a special investigation team to ensure the swift recovery of the girls.The DPO said that Wari Police Station SHO Taj Muhammad Khan and his team conducted a search operation and recovered both girls from Khal in Lower Dir district within two hours of their disappearance.
