Pir Asfandyar, the candidate, said an inquiry committee had already been constituted to probe the alleged illegal appointments in the university.

He appealed to the governor, who is also the chancellor of the public sector universities by virtue of his office, to ask the same committee to look into the recruitment process and alleged irregularities as well.

The candidates requested the chancellor to cancel the appointment of his rival candidate as that was allegedly against the rules and violation mentioned in the advertisement.

He said according to the advertisement, the qualification for office was first division master’s degree with 12 years of experience or second-division master’s degrees with 15 years of experience in hostel management students’ affairs.

The candidate said that he was alone among the candidates who was fulfilling the required criteria.

He alleged that the selection board selected an inexperienced and ineligible teacher of the university and kept him (Pir Asfandyar) on the waiting list, which was an injustice to him.

“The Governor Inspection Team should look into the matter impartially and provide me justice,” he said.
