Man sets wife on fire in Nowshera

NOWSHERA: A man allegedly set his wife on fire over a domestic issue in Namal Bala in Nizampur on Sunday, official sources said.
Shaista Bibi, having sustained burn injuries, reported to the Nizampur Police Station that she was present at home when her husband Dilraj and his brother Inam exchanged harsh words with her and then they sprinkled petrol, setting fire to her. The accused managed to flee the scene.
The victim was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital in Nowshera, wherefrom she was shifted to a hospital in Peshawar due to her precarious condition. The victim has appealed to the Peshawar High Court chief justice to take action against the accused and award them punishment.
