inauguration of Abbottabad Gravity Flow Water Supply Scheme funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), he said that the Japanese government and JICA should extend their cooperation in overcoming the basic problem of drinking water.He said that more than 250,000 people would be benefitted from the water supply scheme and added that trained staff had been hired to run the scheme. He said that the Abbottabad Gravity Flow Water Supply Scheme had been completed at the cost of Rs4 billion in four years.

MANSEHRA: The Government College University, Lahore, has clinched top position in the 11th All Pakistan Captain Usman Ali Shaheed bilingual declamation contests at the Pakistan Scouts Cadet College Batrasi on Thursday.The competitions were held in Urdu and English languages and attended by students of renowned educational institutions from across the county.The students of Chandbagh School Muridke, Cadet College Plundri, Garrison College Kohat, Cadet College Mustang, Cadet College Wana, Cadet College Choa Saiden Shah Chakwal, Government College University Lahore, Cadet College Hassanabdal and several other institutions delivered speeches both in English and Urdu.The overall second and third positions were secured by students of Colonal Sher Khan Cadet College Swabi and Cadet College Hassanabdal.
Govt asked to establish college in Lakki city

LAKKI MARWAT: Office-bearers of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) asked the government to set up a degree college for boys in Lakki city to enable local students to get higher education.Talking to this correspondent on Thursday, PPP former tehsil president Din Muhammad and another leader Ihsanullah Khan said that the only postgraduate college in Lakki city could not cope with the educational needs of area youths. “After matriculation many students are denied admissions at the postgraduate college,” Din Muhammad said. They revealed that the students from urban and rural localities applied for admission in the lone postgraduate college of Lakki city.
