Protest after passport office employee misbehaves with nazim

DIR: The residents protested after an employee of the regional passport office of Upper Dir district misbehaved with Dir tehsil nazim, Mir Makhzanuddin, during his visit to the office on Thursday.
Makhzanuddin along with media persons visited the passport office after receiving complaints from people against an employee. Several applicants complained to the tehsil nazim against employee of passport office in Dir town, Latif Gul. They complained that Latif Gul forced them into paying bribe.
However, when Makhzan-uddin reached the office and talked to Latif Gul, the latter misbehaved with tehsil nazim, prompting the nazim’s supporters to rough him up. The situation was later controlled by other employees of the office who apologised to the tehsil nazim.
Man shot dead in Swat: Unidentified persons shot dead a man in Kabal tehsil, official sources said on Thursday. Zubair Shah was shot dead in Damghar Dheri in Kabal tehsil.
