Food items among 55 deserving families distributed

PESHAWAR: After partial lockdown in provincial metropolitan owing to coronavirus outbreak, the representatives of Pakistan Development Foundation on Tuesday distributed food items among 55 deserving families in various areas.

The representatives of the foundation also distributed 1,000 pamphlets and brushers among general public to raise awareness about corona virus. The food ration was distributed among labourers and other members of the community who were in dire need of assistance and relief, said chairman PDF, Bilal Sethi.

He informed the foundation from its resources has purchased the food items to distribute it among most deserving people. About distribution of food items, he said the process will remain continue in forthcoming days to provide it to remaining needy families. He claimed the foundation will also extend the assistance to other districts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. He said they have intended to approach daily wagers and extend their full patronage to them as this segment of the society in current situation are trapped in homes.

Sethi said that their organization will leave no stone unturned to approach poor section of the society in this critical condition. Apart from this, the organization, he informed, will also continue to create awareness among general public with regard to corona virus outbreak and maintain distribution of informational materials among them.
